For the next ten weeks, I’ve decided to shake things up a bit! So….I will be posting a link to my teaching series for An Unexplainable Life: Recovering the Wonder & Devotion of the Early Church.
This second session focuses on the unexplainable change that occurred within the early believers through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Come and encounter the Holy Spirit, learn to be empowered by Him and to expect evidence of His work in and through you as we live in His power. I also share some humorous moments of my own encounter with Him in studying the book of Acts. Furthermore, some of our denominational misconceptions about the person and work of the Holy Spirit are addressed.
The first session emphasized three key strategies of the Christian life: waiting, watching and praying with expectancy. Just before Jesus went back to heaven after His resurrection, He gave these three directions to His disciples. Go back to Jerusalem and wait, watch for the gift that I have promised, and pray in the meantime. And that is exactly what this little ragtag bunch of disciples did in preparation to go out and live an unexplainable life!
And after 50 days, the unexplainable happened! What could God do in your life if you gave Him 50 days? I invite you to find out! Dive into this marvelous portion of Scripture and see what God has in store for your life! And learn to wait, watch and pray with expectancy! Our God is unexplainable!
