Sometimes life can feel routine and mundane. We wonder if our daily roles and activities really make any difference in the lives of those surrounding us. Or we can sense a stirring of God calling us to something more, but the landscape doesn’t seem to be changing.

Moses had an assurance of God’s call on his life, but when he stepped into that calling, disaster occurred. Then God sent him into the desert to tend sheep, in preparation. Certainly not glamorous, but in the end, glorious! Moses experienced an unprecedented intimacy with the LORD, he witnessed His power and beheld His glory.

The story of Moses reminds us that God is still writing our story, so let’s stop stealing the pen and let Him direct us to the next chapter. The life lessons of Moses teach us how.
